The first half of 2026 reminded us why this matters to us. In our classrooms across Wakiso District, we started raising our hands more, solving problems together, and believing our ideas were worth sharing in ways we hadn’t before.
None of that happens by accident. It takes teachers willing to try new things with us, school leaders who back them, and a team that keeps showing up, again and again. This report is a small window into what that has meant for us this year, and we’re grateful to every partner, teacher and friend who helped make it possible.

A program is only as strong as the adults behind it. This half-year, we invested in both, the teachers in the room and the leaders who back them.
Leaders from 20+ replication schools convened for peer learning and leadership advocacy, building the buy-in that quality implementation depends on.
Term-two training equipped teachers with practical skills to integrate life skills education into their classrooms, helping to improve learner retention as nearly 4 in 10 Ugandan children leave before completing primary education.
Through this training, I’ve realised that our learners have a valuable opportunity to acquire life skills early, something many of us did not have. These skills will empower them to succeed in life after school.
Children found their voice; the organisation sharpened its own, learning globally and partnering to tell the story better.
